Announcing Staff Changes at NextStop

It is with mixed emotions that NextStop Theatre reports the impending departure of Managing Director Abigail Fine from the company. Abbie has served as NextStop’s Managing Director for the past two and a half years. During that time she has worked hand-in-hand with Producing Artistic Director Evan Hoffmann to lead, strengthen, and build the organization to ever greater heights.

Abbie has been particularly instrumental in guiding our organization through the extremely complicated financial and logistical challenges of our closure due to the pandemic. We wish her the best as she moves on to an exciting new opportunity that will allow her to consult and share her management and fundraising expertise with many other local nonprofit organizations. However, she will always be a part of the NextStop family!

No timeline for appointing a successor has been determined at this time. Instead, the Board of Directors and Producing Artistic Director have decided to take this opportunity to re-evaluate the company’s organizational structure and determine if there might be a different model to help improve equity and facilitate our continued growth, artistic success, and sustainability.

In the interim, NextStop has tapped some familiar faces, including former Managing Director Matthew “Moose” Thompson, “Beehive” director Monique Midgette, House Manager and Webmaster Samba Pathak, and Stage Manager Quoc Tran, to offer their incredible knowledge and skills to help maintain current and ongoing operations for the foreseeable future.
