Dear Friends,

Like everyone around the world, we at NextStop are following the constantly evolving situation surrounding the COVID-19 crisis. Since cancelling the closing weekend of Ordinary Days, we have remained committed to following the recommendations of both local and national health authorities in order to protect the health and well-being of our patrons, artists, and staff.

In line with this objective, last week NextStop Theatre officially suspended all operations and has postponed our upcoming productions of Noises Off and In the Heights until such time as it once again becomes safe to reopen and welcome our community back into the theater. Additionally, decisions about the status and timeline for all upcoming projects, productions, and events will be made based on the future that is presented to us.

To all those holding subscriptions or individual tickets to productions, we will be reaching out to you soon with more information on how you can donate the value of your tickets, transfer them to a credit toward future productions, or request a refund. Please be patient with us as we work out the logistics of this complex process that affects hundreds of patrons.

Like so many not-for-profits, this prolonged closure will have severe negative financial repercussions for NextStop and we offer our sincere appreciation to all those who have expressed concern for both our organization and our artists. While we always welcome and are extremely grateful for donations, our leadership has made the decision to encourage our community to stay focused on themselves and their loved ones at this time. We will provide more information (at a later date) on the full impact of this crisis on our organization and how you might help. In the meantime, we simply invite you to remember and be reassured that even as we are encouraged to separate and isolate ourselves now, it is theatre and the arts that will help bring our community back together when the time is right.

These are scary and uncertain times for us all. From everyone at NextStop, we wish you and those you love health, safety, and positive thoughts.

Respectfully,

Evan Hoffmann
Producing Artistic Director
